Child Protection

Children are facing different forms of abuse, harassment, neglect and violence, not only from persons known to them but also strangers. Taking advantage of their innocence, vulnerability and fear, their own relatives, teachers, neighbours and even parents are known to exploit and harass them. As a result, cases of child labour, forced under-age marriages, child molestation, physical and mental violence against children are on the rise.

Recognizing the urgent need protect children from different forms of child rights violation, Sparsha Trust designed its Child Protection Program. Under this program, it identifies children not only living in difficult circumstances but also those whose rights have been violated in one form or the other, or are vulnerable to exploitation, harassment and abuse.
