He now aspires to become a software engineer.
Bhavani, a 32-year-old woman from Uttar Karnataka and a mother of two, faced a devastating situation when her husband passed away. In search of a fresh start as a single parent, she relocated to Bangalore. Joining the Adobe digital learning class organized by Sparsha Trust in 2017 was a turning point for her. Despite securing employment in a garments factory, Bhavani grappled with the challenges of managing her two children, household, and the expenses associated with living in a metropolitan city like Bangalore.
Approximately five years ago, Sparsha Trust, recognizing her struggles, provided counselling and suggested enrolling Narahari in Nisarga Grama. Now, at the age of 14, Narahari is thriving in this environment, expressing happiness in his studies and forming strong bonds with other children. Reflecting on the transformative impact of Sparsha’s intervention, Bhavani shared, “Managing my young children was a significant challenge. I had to work extra hours for additional income, and my child wasn’t attending school regularly, often wandering on the streets until my return from work, raising concerns for his safety. Learning about Sparsha Trust’s Nisarga Grama was a relief and enrolling him there has been a source of joy. Witnessing his progress, not only academically but also in various skills like craft, art, electrical work, dance, and more, fills me with happiness. I am immensely grateful to Sparsha Trust for providing a ray of hope for my child.”
