The positive changes in her are now evident - not only has her weight gradually increased, reaching 10 kgs after four months of intervention, but she has also become more active and content.
I am Kupendra Kumar, a member of a family involved in selling flowers. Our residence in Ambedkar Nagar, Bangalore, spans 15 years. Concerned about our daughter Hemashree K, who is now 3 years and 4 months old, we noticed that she was underweight, weighing only about 6 kgs. She was attending the Anganwadi center near our home. The project staff from Sparsha Trust provided counselling to parents of children attending the centre, offering information on low-cost yet highly nutritious food recipes. Recognizing Hemashree’s condition, we brought it to their attention. The Sparsha Trust team informed us about the nutritional requirements for growing children and the diverse nutrients present in different types of food. Consequently, we adjusted her diet to include more fruits and vegetables which had a great impact on her health.
