Recognizing the need to empower women from BPL families and low-income group, so that they can improve not just their lives but also of their families, the family, Sparsha Trust initiated the Women Empowerment program. In a path breaking initiative, Sparsha Trust is working closely with women street vendors and petty entrepreneurs as well as pregnant and lactating workers in the unorganized sector, in a manner that enables to understand their own worth, create awareness about issues related to their health, well-being, protection and socio-economic development. The projects being implemented under this program has made it possible for hundreds of women with nil or limited literacy skills, knowledge and opportunities to improve their lives. As a result of awareness and opportunities of the projects, they are improving their lives at different levels, be it health, streamlining and improving their work, and the lives of their respective families.
