The organization has a management board of 9 members. There are 24 experts who are leading, guiding and mentoring the Nisarga Grama and Makkala Dhama projects and 10 executive leaders at the governing level.
Dr. D.S. Krishna, President of Sparsha Trust, comes from a humble rural background and completed his early education at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. He holds a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) and a Ph.D. from the University of Mysore. With extensive experience in education policy and social development, he has played a key role in numerous state and national seminars that have informed policymaking in the education sector. As a former Syndicate Member of Bangalore University, his efforts to uplift underprivileged students were widely recognized. He has also served on the governing councils of several prominent educational institutions in Bengaluru.
Mr. Gopinath is the Managing Trustee and Founder of Sparsha Trust. Hailing from an agricultural family near Kolar, Karnataka, he earned his Master’s in Social Work (MSW) in 2004. His early life experiences and exposure to social challenges inspired him to build Sparsha Trust. Since 2009, Sparsha has rescued and rehabilitated over 2,500 children. Under his leadership, the organization was recognized as the Best Non-Governmental Organization by the Government of Karnataka in 2014. He was also honoured with the Sri Sri Award by the Art of Living Foundation in 2013 for his outstanding social service. Mr. Gopinath has represented Sparsha at numerous national and international seminars and conferences.
Mr. Srikanth Ekambaram is a Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant, currently serving as the Chief Finance Officer of Terex in India. With over 25 years of experience in leading multinational organizations such as ALSTOM/Areva, Volvo, and SRF, he brings deep financial and operational expertise. Associated with Sparsha Trust since 2010, Mr. Srikanth has been a core committee member of the Nisarga Grama project, contributing significantly to its growth through fundraising and active participation in every stage of development. He and his wife are closely connected to the Sanjeevini Nagar Centre, supporting children by organizing daily milk distribution, providing school supplies, and gifting new clothes during festivals. Mr. Srikanth also oversees Sparsha’s financial management, ensuring transparency and accountability. His positivity and encouragement continue to inspire the team, especially during challenging times.
Mr. Ranganatha G.R. is a Human Resources professional with over a decade of experience and currently serves as Head of Human Resources at East-West Seed. He has previously held key HR roles at ABB, Molex, and Makino Machine Tools, leading business integration and industrial relations initiatives. He holds a Master’s degree in Social Work with a specialization in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management, and a Postgraduate degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy. A life member of the National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM) - serving on its Karnataka executive committee - and of the National HRD Network (NHRD), he remains actively engaged with the HR fraternity. As a founding member of Sparsha Trust, Mr. Ranganatha continues to guide the organization with his leadership and people-focused expertise.
Mrs. Rupa Mahajan is a Trustee of Sparsha Trust and a graduate of Bangalore University. An active social worker, she has been dedicatedly associated with Sparsha since 2009, working for the welfare and education of underprivileged children. She spends her time supporting English literacy, counselling, and nurturing creativity through art, craft, drama, and baking. Her work reflects her belief in empowering children to build confident and independent futures.
Mrs. Prameela S.R. is an active social worker with over 20 years of experience in community development. She has volunteered with several NGOs focused on the upliftment of underprivileged women and children and has played a key role in forming children’s associations for child labourers and slum communities. She has also been actively involved in adult literacy programs and health camps. Mrs. Prameela has been contributing her services to Sparsha Trust since 2006.
Mr.Ramakrishna A.B. is an MSW graduate with over 11 years of experience in Human Resources and currently serves as Executive Manager – HR at S and W Jewellery Private Limited, Bengaluru. Associated with Sparsha Trust since 2006, he contributes his expertise in managing ESIC, PF, and other administrative functions, ensuring smooth operations and compliance within the organization.
