Reimagining learning for children

Many government schools, particularly in rural areas, continue to face gaps in infrastructure, learning facilities, and access to arts, sports, and recreation. These limitations restrict children’s ability to experience education as a space for creativity and growth. To change this, schools must evolve into creative campuses - with upgraded infrastructure, innovative teaching practices, and experiential learning opportunities. Strengthening partnerships between parents, communities, corporates, and government departments is key to making this transformation inclusive, engaging, and sustainable.

Our vision is to create vibrant, inclusive, and creative learning environments within government schools - spaces that go beyond textbooks to nurture imagination, confidence, and holistic development. Transforming Government Schools works with 8 schools across Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, Ramanagara, and Kolar, reaching over 1,200 children and their families.

Through this initiative, Sparsha Trust upgrades school infrastructure, strengthens teaching practices, and brings art, sports, and experiential learning into daily education. Teachers are trained to adopt creative, participatory methods, while parents, alumni, corporates, and local government departments are engaged to make this transformation collaborative and sustainable.

Ultimately, the project aims to reimagine government schools as creative campuses - centres of learning that inspire curiosity, build community ownership, and empower children to explore their full potential.
