“I became involved with Sparsha Trust after attending the Friends of Sparsha event in 2017, where I learned about its incredible work with neglected, abused and underprivileged children in the Bangalore area. I was moved by the whole-hearted approach Gopinath and his team take in rescuing, protecting and mentoring these children, putting them on a successful path of learning and employment. I've attended several events this year, and I've been very impressed with the dedication of the staff and even more so by the joyful and positive environment they have created for these needy children. More than 50 employees from my IBM team now regularly volunteer their time teaching children of migrant construction workers in the mobile creche near our office. Others have helped Sparsha with their digital and social presence. I have joined the Makkala Dhama Committee and have been helping Gopi and his team plan the fundraising effort to build the new center for 300 boys.”

“Sparsha Trust has been doing pioneering work in supporting children who do not have other means of looking after themselves. Now the Managing Trustee, Gopinath has taken the game a further notch higher by launching a project that is a consolidated facility for accommodation, education and training of 300 boys who are in one place. This project is the Makkaladhama project. I am very fortunate to be a member of the Committee for Makkaladhama. The formation of the Committee has enabled a broader base of individuals to take on the responsibility and the opportunity of creating a new facility for 300 boys who otherwise would not have the opportunity to live, educate themselves and train themselves as they eventually launch into their own respective lives. I am very happy to be part of this important work which currently is engaged in the fund raising and designing of the place.I wish the project the very best. I am once again very grateful to be part of it.”
