We care for you

Launched in June 2021, We Care For You was Sparsha Trust’s immediate response to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on children who lost one or both parents, or whose families were pushed into crisis. The initiative aimed to ensure that no child was left without basic care, protection, and access to education.

The pandemic left many children orphaned or vulnerable due to the death, disability, or unemployment of parents. These children faced emotional trauma, poverty, and disrupted education—factors that heightened their risk of neglect, exploitation, and school dropout.

Children aged 0 to 18 years affected by the pandemic, poverty, or parental disability, across nine districts of Karnataka, including Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, Kolar, Bidar, Bellary, Mysore, Raichur, Koppal, and Vijayapura.

Identification and mobilisation of children affected by the pandemic and poverty.
Provision of essential needs such as food, clothing, healthcare, and lodging support where required.
Emotional support and counselling for children and their families.
Educational support and linkage to welfare and scholarship schemes.
Career guidance, skills development, and job placement assistance for parents and caregivers.

Supported 1,015 children and 545 families across Karnataka.
Ensured continuity in education and improved mental well-being.
Strengthened family stability and confidence through counselling and livelihood support.
Helped families regain financial independence and reintegrate into society with dignity.
